Mesmo depois do balde de água fria The Da Vinci Code, que fez muito dinheiro mas não prestava para nada, o novo teaser de Angels & Demons captou a minha atenção. Porquê? Para além de ter gostado do livro (o meu prof de literatura havia de ter umas coisas pouco simpáticas a dizer sobre isto, mas às vezes leitura de pouca estimulação intelectual também faz falta...), vejo, em cerca de 1:15 que isto dura, Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor e Stellan Skarsgård. E para mim isso chega!

While speaking to a college audience in Boston, Massachusetts, this weekend, Jon Stewart took the time to respond to Palin's comments about the "pro-American" parts of the country.

Says Jon, "She said that small towns, that's the part of the country she really likes going to because that's the pro-America part of the country. You know, I just want to say to her, just very quickly: Fuck you."

The reaction came in response to Palin's comment on Thursday night at a North Carolina fundraiser when she said, "We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe…that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation."

E o aussie Rusty também (mesmo de cabelinho branco e gorducho - estado que já deu para perceber que adoptou definitivamente)! The Insider de Michael Mann com Al Pacino e o pançudinho Russell Crowe (txi adoro, tá?), foi nomeado para 7 Óscares em 2000, incluíndo Melhor Filme, Melhor Actor (a primeira nomeação de Rusty), Melhor Realização e Melhor Argumento Adaptado. E deviam ter sido 8, porque a banda sonora de Lisa Gerrard e Pieter Bourke é fenomenal!

Já estou a ficar ansiosa com o assunto...

O enigmático Truman

Caso raro: dois filmes oferecem diferentes pontos de vista sobre a mesma história. Embora tenha sido Philip Seymour Hoffman a levar o Óscar de Melhor Actor para casa, em Capote de 2006, Toby Jones consegue igualar o caracterísitco je ne sais quoi de Truman Capote. Muito interessante!

Relativamente a Infamous, porquê Gwyneth Paltrow no início? Só para dizer que apareceu?...

Um Longo Domingo de Noivado

Não foi à quarta (adormeci...), mas à quinta que consegui ver o filme todo. Custou, mas vale a pena porque é LIIINDO! Audrey Tautou é, sem dúvida, uma das melhores actrizes do cinema actual.

Paris, Je t'aime

Com um título destes, já sabia que ia amar o filme.

Vi, chorei, e amei mesmo. Vinte história de todos os tipos de amor, por vinte (na realidade 21 porque os irmãos Coen são dois) realizadores diferentes, aparentemente sem uma ordem específica, mas que revelam as mais variadas naturezas deste tão ( ... a preencher pelo leitor) sentimento. Vejam sozinhos (ou sozinhas, porque estou convencida que não tenho mais que 2/3 leitoras neste meu espaço confessional) ou acompanhados, sejam solteiros ou casados, mas vejam, porque garanto que com alguma coisa se vão identificar. E Paris, sempre Paris...

O segmento "Faubourg Saint-Denis", de Tom Tykwer e com Natalie Portman (prodígio em forma de gente) é o meu preferido. E "Porte de Choisy" de Christopher Doyle, Gabrielle Keng e Rain Li deve ser muito avant garde, porque não percebi nada... As primeiras lágrimas (sim, eu sou uma chorona!) vieram com "Place des Fêtes" de Oliver Schmitz.

Algures num período (esperemos) próximo, vai estrear New York, I Love You.

E agora vou tentar ver até ao fim, pela quarta vez, Um Longo Domingo de Noivado, que tem estado difícil!
